HR / Payroll Assistant 12 month maternity cover

We are currently recruiting for a HR and Payroll Assistant to join our client based in Aintree. The company are the UK's largest suppliers for their industry and this is an ideal opportunity to join a stable and well established company. Offering a 12 month contract working Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm, this role comes with a salary of £22,000, free parking, and pension scheme

About The Role:
• Weekly payroll for 70 employees
• Inputting time sheets
• Calculating sickness and attendance
• Pre tax reductions
• Maternity pay
• P45
• Holiday pay
• Scheduling payments
• Taking inbound calls
• Dealing with enquiries from suppliers and staff
• Inputting the account information onto Sage
• Updating personnel files
• Liaising with the Chamber of Commerce

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Excellent telephone manner
• Payroll experience is essential
• Knowledge of HR is ideal
• Experience using Sage is an advantage but not essential
• Strong admin experience

This role would also suit someone with a background as a:

• Payroll Clerk
• Payroll Assistant
• Accounts Assistant
• HR Assistant
• HR Administrator
