An effective Operational HR Manager is sought for a vibrant secondary academy in Slough, part of a successful and growing CofE multi-academy trust. This is a hands-on role to support the delivery of strategic HR advice, guidance and management of people resources across the school.
Working closely with the Trust HR Manager, the postholder will work to implement Trust-wide practices and standards including absence management, capability and performance management, disciplinary/grievance procedures, statutory leave and pay entitlements.
The role will lead on all matters relating to recruitment selection and retention, managing the recruitment process in accordance with all relevant employment legislation and regulations. This will include updating and enhancing the school’s recruitment documentation and processes to attract quality staff.
The successful candidate will ideally be CIPD qualified, and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of advising on and processing HR work required on policy and practices in relation to all key personnel matters. Applicants must demonstrate the flexibility to work at pace in a busy and fast-moving environment, providing a robust and efficient HR service to senior leaders across the Trust. Experience of working within the education sector would be highly advantageous and knowledge of school systems and relevant legislation and guidance would be desirable.
This is a part time position working a minimum of 22 hours per week, on a flexible working basis, on site and all year through.
