HR Officer

I am seeking an experienced HR officer who is immediately available and commit to a 7 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this position is based in the Guildford office, although there is a requirement to travel as and when required.

The HR Officer will be responsible for:

  • Recruitment and Resourcing

  • Conduct HR inductions

  • Source and review competitors websites and recruitment literature

  • Assist with the annual salary benchmarking process, collating salary and benefits details from competitors, agencies and surveys

  • Assist the HR Director with the Salary and Bonus process

  • Assist the management of general employee relations issues

  • Organise and implement Maternity, Paternity, Shared Parental Leave and Adoptions requests and procedures

  • Assist with updating policies and procedures as and when needed

  • Ad hoc HR related projects

  • Assist with updating the HR database with personnel information for new joiners, existing employees and leavers

  • Produce reports, statistics and manipulate data

  • Organise and carry out exit interviews and provide feedback to Directors and Management Group

  • Diary management and room organisation

  • Update HR templates, the Welcome Book and policies and procedures on SBNet

  • Filing personnel records and other associated administrative duties as required

  • Other support duties which are appropriate to this role as and when required


The successful HR Officer would ideally be:

  • CIPD qualified

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role essential

  • Excellent knowledge of innovative social media techniques for recruitment and resourcing essential

  • Excellent working knowledge of HR databases (ideally Cascade) essential

  • Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel (in particular pivot tables and formulas) Outlook and PowerPoint essential

  • Ability to work confidentially

  • Professional attitude and excellent team player with a "can do" attitude

  • Conscientious, helpful, personable and able to work well on their own initiative

  • Highly organised and efficient with an excellent attention to detail

  • Able to work effectively when under pressure

  • Flexible attitude and able to cope with change

  • Tidy, punctual and well-presented

  • Willing to work as part of a team and to commit to shared goals and aspirations

Looking for an experienced HR Officer to commit to a 7 month Fixed term Contract based in Guildford. Available to start immediately with 0 or 1 week notice period. Paying upto £35k depending on experience.
