HR Manager - Northampton - 12 Month Contract - up to £45,000 + benefits
Macildowie Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an employer of choice on a contract HR Manager vacancy. The role will be based from Northampton and will require some travel to other sites across the Midlands. The role will be recruited on a fixed term basis and will pay up to £45,000.
The HR Manager will report into the HR Director, manage one HR Advisor and will enjoy role with a varied generalist remit. The HR Manager will design and deliver localised people plans to a small number of sites, working in collaboration with the site leadership populous and the wider HR team.
The HR Manager will be expected to the fly the flag for HR at all times; advocating best HR practice and proactively engaging the business in communicating business wide initiatives or projects and amendments to policies or processes. As the business looks to further enhance its reputation as an employer of choice, the HR Manager will play a key role in creating a consistently high end HR service, driving engagement and performance.
As part of this varied generalist role, the HR Manager will be the go-to expert on a variety of matters including reward, learning and talent management. The postholder will work with the Recruitment Manager on specific recruitment campaigns and will ensure that a smooth onboarding takes place, but will also work proactively to track and further employee development with the business. Beyond the new employee cycle, the HR Manager will work with existing employees to provide development plans or career pathways which may require creating new learning courses or exploring the feasibility of secondments within the business.
The postholder will act as mentor and guide to the HR Advisor and, working collaboratively, will help to develop a culture of ownership and accountability. The HR Manager will oversee all ER issues and may be required to lead on complex or escalated cases and will also lead on any significant structural organisational changes including reorganisations and TUPE.
Additionally, the HR Manager will consistently assess the businesses' reward and benefits offering to ensure that the business is competitive in attracting, but also retaining top talent.
