This role is responsible for providing specialist HR leadership, support and guidance to the Group Executive Board, managers and employees including implementation of HR policies and processes, recruitment, learning and development and performance management.


Main Roles and Accountabilities


1 Policies and Procedures: - Lead development, implementation and maintenance of EMEA wide HR policies and procedures in accordance with employment legislation and best practice in EMEA operational countries. - Support the board in applying best practice and Group policy worldwide working with HR and outsourced functions worldwide.
2 Employee Engagement: - Lead EMEA employee engagement efforts including internal communications and developing and implementing strategies for improving employee engagement throughout EMEA including recognition schemes. This will include: · Monitoring the morale of staff through formal and informal processes · Provide structured feedback to the Executive Board with recommendations.
3 Employee Benefits/Payroll - Responsible for reviewing employee benefits across EMEA including pensions, salary reviews and maintenance of awards. - Responsible for ensuring the payroll data is correct and submitted to the external provider following the monthly timelines provided. Complete all payroll checking and resubmissions.
4 Talent Management: - Provide support to managers to develop the skills and capabilities of their employees including: · Collate data relating to staff training needs and propose, develop and implement the Learning and Development plan with a mix of technical skills, industry compliance related, on job coaching and leadership skills · Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place and provide advice and assistance with writing job descriptions · Support and monitor the completion of the performance appraisal process mid-year and yearly. · Provide advice and support to line management of employees who have performance related obstacles.
5 Employee Relations: - Ensuring all employees and managers are completing the necessary details within 'My HR’ (HR system) so that there are accurate records for sickness, holidays, absence. - Ensuring all disciplinary and grievance procedures are followed as per the polices set out and provide all managers with sufficient support when necessary.
6 Staff Recruitment: - Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organised and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff. This will include: · Update Job descriptions with managers before recruitment for each role. · Advertise vacancies using the agreed methods. · Schedule, organise and, where applicable, participate in applicant interviews. · Inform unsuccessful applicants
8 Administration & HR Systems: - Maintain updates on 'My HR’ so that all employee records are accurate. - Produce relevant letters and contracts when necessary.
9 HR KPI and Metrics: - Manage key HR KPI information to support driving improvements in the business. This will include updating Executive Board: · Absence Management · Retention and Turnover · Appraisals completed · Recruitment e.g. cost to hire and time to hire · Overtime costs

Key Skills and Attributes: · Good problem solver · Excellent and up to date knowledge and understanding of employment law and how to implement into HR policies · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Communication working across various levels of an organisation


Qualifications and Experience

Degree qualification or equivalent (desirable) · CIPD qualified · Proven experience in HR Manager Position · Experience working in the Logistics environments (desirable)
