HR Manager - CIPD Qual - Trade Union exp - Coventry - £46k

Hamlin Knight are currently recruiting for 2 Senior HR Managers for a public sector organisation in Coventry.

The purpose of the role is to manage a team of HR professionals delivering an efficient HR support service with in a specialist team or a discrete business area, providing a senior level of HR advice to managers and to lead on corporate and business transformation projects as required.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of a professional HR service including employee relations, organisational change, case management, terms and conditions, reward and recognition and job evaluation.
Advise managers and HR colleagues on strategic approaches to managing people issues, taking into account best practice, relevant statutory and case law changes.
Undertake complex casework, including supporting appeal processes and Employment Tribunals.
Develop effective working relationships with trade union representatives, using developed communication skills to resolve employment relation issues.
Contribute to the continuous development of the HR Service, including the standardisation, consistency and streamlining of policies, processes and practices to meet the needs of the company and ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
Analyse key trends and metrics and write reports on workforce performance.
Using project management methodology, to be responsible for the delivery of specific projects within the workforce strategy, particularly those designed to reduce costs and/or improve employment practice.
Contribute to the development of people management expertise throughout the workforce, including the preparation and delivery of training materials for managers.
Line management of a small team of HR professionals, including recruitment, appraisal, coaching, performance management and ensuring timely management of cases.
Manage budgets, ensuring targets are met.
Contribute to working groups within and outside of HR
Promote equality of opportunity and work to increase the diversity and inclusion of the workforce in all aspects of people management.

The successful candidate will have previous HR Management experience and be fully CIPD qualified. You must have experience of Trade Unions in order to be considered for the role. Strong people skills in relation to motivation, leadership and development of staff are also essential for the role.
