Pertemps are delighted to be working with our public sector client to recruit for HR Advisers to work on a Helpdesk team on an exciting new project.

Role - HR Adviser
Location - Central Edinburgh (initially homeworking)
Hours - 36 hours a week, Monday - Friday
Duration - 12 months
Pay - £11.78 per hour
Immediate start

The successful candidates will be part of a team who deliver consistent guidance, advice and support to Managers and Employees across their organisation.

You will be:
  • Providing first point resolution for Managers and Employees on all matters to the highest standard within agreed service levels
  • Managing queries through the helpdesk
  • Coaching and supporting Managers and encouraging their ownership
  • Ensuring sound knowledge and skills are consistently applied in the delivery of excellent service
  • Developing excellent relationships across HR and with the appropriate key stakeholders to ensure smooth handover of high risk cases and the sharing of knowledge
  • Ensuring advice and guidance is compliant with statutory responsibilities, legislation, standing orders, delegated authority, policies and taking account of local and national agreements
  • Any other tasks as required

You should:
  • Have a proven track record of managing complex queries to resolution by phone, email and system
  • Be able to organise and manage your own workload effectively
  • Be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing with a broad range of stakeholders
