HR Generalist - About the role

The HR Generalist position is a contract role to help cover maternity leave within the team. It will cover the full generalist remit with a strong focus on Recruitment, HR Operations, Employee Relations and HR Project work.

The role will report into the Head of HR Business Partnering and will work alongside the HR Assistant and HRBP - Development. Being a flexible team player is key; the individual would work in a small, professional HR team that have a strong reputation and relationship with the business.

HR Generalist - Key duties

Recruitment

Take ownership and lead external and internal Recruitment across the group, managing the end to end recruitment process with support from the HR Assistant to ensure roles are filled to quality and time; in line with our D&I strategy and initiatives

Provide support and advice to managers on decisions concerning new roles, reporting lines and benchmarking

Own relationships with external partners as well as ensuring we are maximising direct recruitment opportunities to reduce cost

Work closely with the Head of HR Business Partnering to ensure D&I agenda is embedded across recruitment processes

Support the HRBP - Development on Graduate and Apprentice recruitment when required

HR Generalist Support:

Work closely with the business to provide practical Employment Relations expertise and sound judgement; including managing performance issues, grievances, disciplinary processes and absence management

Review HR policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date and legally compliant

Manage all parental leave processes and be the key point of contact for parents and managers to ensure a positive experience for our employees

Manage all flexible working requests

HR reporting where applicable

Oversee all day to day HR Operations activities, ensuring HR Operational Excellence, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing those. Working closely with the HR Assistant to ensure speedy turnaround on all HR activities, with focus on quality and accuracy

Provide HR support and advice for overseas offices

HR Generalist - Key requirements

Experienced HR Generalist with strong recruitment, employee relations and business partnering skills

A self-starter, able to work independently and deliver strong accurate work

Solutions-focused, practical and organised

Experience of working with senior stakeholders

Team focussed, comfortable in picking up a variety of tasks to ensure team delivery whilst managing multiple priorities

Group facilitation and presentation experience

Proactive and driven, thrives on variety
