HR & EHS Administrator
Our client is a leading construction materials group in the UK and Ireland. They operate two cement plants, around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete and mortar plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.
The group currently has a unique opportunity for an HR & EHS Administrator to join the HR team. This is a new, interesting and varied role and will be based at Hope Cement Works in Derbyshire.
The focus of the team is to support the Business in developing its people strategy and drive overall performance. The successful applicant must be able to collaborate confidentially with stakeholders, understand their requirements and deliver appropriate support.
This role covers all essential HR & EHS administration, including; processing starters & leavers, drafting employment contracts, updating and maintaining our HR systems and files, responding to queries, liaising with Payroll, conducting EHS inductions, DSE assessments and co-ordinating EHS training.
The right person will be accurate and proactive, have great attention to detail, excellent organisation, prioritisation and communication skills (both verbally and written).
* - Able to work confidentially
* - CIPD qualified or working towards this
* - Practical knowledge of employment law
* - Generalist HR experience within a commercially focussed business
Experience of working in an unionised environment would be an advantage.
