A superb new opportunity has arisen to work for one of the leading employers in the Midlands the role of permanent HR Consultant.  Working across business units and contracts, the successful individual will be reporting to two HRBPs and adding value to a range of internal stakeholders.

This role is initially a 12 month FTC spread between remote working and 3 sites, 2 in Coventry and one near Evesham.  Remote working is likely to be c. 2 days per week from home.

To provide credible, value add HR support, particularly in the areas of Reward, Engagement, Capability and Resourcing to the business management and colleagues. Based within a Sector, regular travel between sites within that Sector is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

? Provide HR consultative support and coaching to management team members to ensure their capability is exceptional in dealing with all people related matters.

? Advise, coach and guideline managers about levels and types of reward, including base and variable pay and incentives.

? Deputise for the HRBP/HRM where required.

? Represent the HR department at relevant site meetings where appropriate

? Be an ambassador for HR across the business and with clients.

? Actively support and coach the Forum / Site Leadership team in the organisation of annual Employee Engagement Survey; conducting and analysing of progress pulse checks, facilitation of feedback sessions; coaching of managers in the delivery of subsequent action plans (3Cs).

? Work closely with the Forum and the General Manager(s) to ensure there is an effective employee voice.

? Manage the recruitment process (from vacancy design to offer), working with the Resourcing Specialists, ensuring that candidates have a positive experience and brand integrity is maintained throughout.

? Promote and support site based capability and succession management activities, coaching managers in the use of MRiTB, competency framework and succession planning tools; proactively supporting and building the talent plan to ensure all competency risks are known, managed and planned for.

? Deliver HR training modules and other training and development activities in conjunction with the HR Advisors and the Capability team.

? Lead the HR element of all site/within Sector based change programmes / projects both planned and as they occur (TUPE, Restructure, Redundancy, shift changes), ensuring effective employee communication and engagement is maintained throughout and following the process.

? Support the HR business partners in tender processes for new business

? Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the department’s internal and external customers / suppliers

? Conduct bi-annual audits (as a minimum) of the on-site temporary recruitment agency to ensure

compliance with SLAs and legislation.

? Review and discuss required actions related to analysis from weekly and monthly management

information (MI) with senior site managers, providing insight and assistance to drive improvements

across sites.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

? Educated to A Level (minimum) or equivalent

? Previous experience of managing change management processes (TUPE / redundancy / restructures etc.)

? Complete understanding of HR processes and procedures

? Up to date, working knowledge of current UK employment law

? Proven experience of working in a confidential environment

? Able to influence at a senior management level (gravitas)

? Strong planning, organising and time management skills – able to balance priorities

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

? Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically

? IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)

? Customer focus – taking accountability for proactively resolving issues

? Unafraid to challenge practice / process and people to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement.

Desirable:

? SHL Level II or BPS Level B

? CIPD qualified

? Coaching and mentoring skills / qualifications

? Understanding of L&D processes and procedures
