HR Business Partner

Location: Leicester

Circa £50,000

My client are an innovative fast-moving organisation .Their team has many years of experience successfully engaging with companies and helping them grow.

About the Role

They are currently growing rapidly, so this isn't a conventional job advertisement because they need someone that can multi-task to a high standard for all things HR which not only makes newcomers want to join this new business but also for the employees to be engaged and retained in the Company!

They are seeking a HR Business Partner who can manage all HR for the Company .Leading the organisation’s HR department, your role will include including recruitment, talent management, learning and development, employee engagement, managing the HR information system (HRIS) and creating Company culture.

Key Requirements

Promotes and implements human resources values by planning and managing staff- recruiting, selecting, orienting, coaching, counselling and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing staff performance, resolving problems, implementing and sustaining change

Building and maintain Company culture

Experience in employee life cycle, with extensive experience in recruitment and employee relations

Responsibilities & Duties

Support and update the organisation on all employee relations matters

Proactive support of the delivery of HR processes

Drive business performance

Build a strong relationship with the internal client

Assess risk and identify gaps in employee relation processes

Facilitate the management team to bring the best solutions for employee retention and development

Design key job positions and succession plans

Challenge organisational structure and actively design improvements

Develop the HR team

Work across business disciplines to lead and influence change at a strategic level

Head up the operational function within the HR department

Provide support and guidance for managers and staff on HR issues including employment legislation

Developing company wellbeing, health and counselling policies as well as create and maintain main HR policies/ employee handbook for Company and associated businesses

Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counselling and disciplining staff, planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing staff job contributions,

Change management – preparing and supporting employees at all times with the high amount of changes the business will go through

Standardisation of approach to employee relations issues across employees and any other businesses associated employees

Core Competencies

Organisational skills- time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands are key

Communication skills- lead the HR team, managing diverse personalities and viewpoints

Consequently, emotional intelligence, the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others is key time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands are key. Excellent written communication too in any documentation sent to the Company or any associated business employees

Commercial acumen- being involved in strategic decision making within the business as an influencer.

Role modelling- as a senior member of the Company, this role is expected to demonstrate and lead on the values, initiatives and culture of the organisation

Professional expertise

A strong working knowledge of employment law issues, best practice processes for employee relations i.e disciplinaries, grievances and absence management

Trust- as a key member of the team, you will interface with the CEO on a regular basis. You will become a trusted confident on talent issues, unafraid of giving your opinions and expertise

Flexibility and Adaptability- given the nature of a start-up business, you must be willing to adapt and be flexible to all situations

Problem solving and solutions oriented

Attention to detail and accuracy

Computer literate (MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook)
