About the role

It's a truly exciting time to join us in the HR team at Jisc. We're in the process of implementing Jisc's people agenda which is revolutionising the way we work. We're moving to light touch, commercially focused approaches where we provide the tools, skills, knowledge and a broad framework to help our people be great managers and leaders. There is huge amounts of change happening in the organisation and we need help ensure this is delivered effectively.

As a HR business partner, you'll work in true partnership with your business areas. You'll be an extension of their team, providing consultancy, advice and options on a range of issues, and coaching managers to help them achieve their goals.

This is a varied, fast-paced, generalist role where you will work on all aspects of HR on an operational and strategic basis. You'll work on a range of interesting and challenging projects, working strategically to ensure we meet our organisational objectives and all work within a high performing, commercially focused, and engaging working environment.

About you

We know that sometimes people can be put off applying for a job if they think they can't tick every box, but we realise the 'perfect candidate' doesn't exist. So, if you are excited about working for us, and think you can do most of what we are looking for, go ahead and apply. You could be exactly what we need!

We're ideally looking for someone with:

  • A level 7 CIPD qualification (or equivalent)

It's important to us that you're a team player as we are a collaborative, fun team and we all pull together to get things done.

In return you will have space to grow and develop and opportunities to shine.

This isn't a role where you'll have to "fit in" with existing ways of working. We like creativity and innovation and you can really make an impact and help to shape the agenda.
