An excellent new opportunity has arisen within a leading manufacturers based in Peterborough to work as the HR Business Partner.

A newly created HR Business Partner role. The HR Business Partner will be part of a new complement of HR Business Partners as the business leadership team look to develop and further the HR service offering. The role will be dual site based and will require very occasional travel to a couple of smaller sites. You will be responsible for the Warehouse and Distribution sites.

The client is looking to offer a salary in the region of £42,000 and £45,000 with great benefits and car allowance and is really looking for someone to grow with the business.

The role will have a strong focus on organisational development. Talent management and succession planning are focuses for the business moving forward as they look to future proof their business and move to a high performing culture so the HR Business Partner will act as a conduit and facilitator with regards to driving through succession plans and correctly identifying talent.

The main purpose of this role is to work in partnership with the Warehouse Operations Managers and to influence/steer people and site business strategy.

This role will create and drive the site and transport people plan and enable the delivery of business plans and tangible commercial benefits.

  • Achievement of business plans and associated HR Business Partner activity
  • Succession plans are in place with successors clearly identified
  • Departmental KPIs - Staff turnover rates, attendance rates, agency usage rates
  • Performance appraisal scores are normally distributed and action plans are in place for high potentials and low achievers
  • Recruitment of high quality employees

As the new HR Business Partner, you will be tasked with assessing current structures within the business and will ensure that job grading and descriptions are consistent with the evolving needs of the business, but also to ensure that the business is able to attract the best talent in the market.

You will need to come from a fast paced Manufactruing background and will have experience with organisational design and/or talent management. You will have an appetite for delivering change and will have a strong commercial outlook on how HR can support a growing business. You will be comfortable in maintaining ownership of HR initiatives from conception to implementation.
