HR Business Partner

Purpose of Role

The role holder is responsible for building effective partnerships with key stakeholders, supporting line managers and employees, providing advice and support on all people issues. This will involve bringing expertise, perspective and pragmatism in supporting departments to achieve their business objectives to deliver the company strategy.

To provide solutions to deal and address specific people management issues, together with an assessment of the associated risks and benefits.

To support and build leadership and management capability, through the provision of advice, coaching and positive challenge.

Responsibilities

* To assist and support the Head of HR with the design and development of a HR Strategy to underpin the overall business strategy
* To develop a strong understanding of the business and its operations
* Build strong relationships with the ability to challenge and coach
* Partner and project manage within a business area with specific focus for growth
* Attend business meetings, acting as a subject matter expert
* To design and develop high quality HR Policies and procedures that are visible and accessible, ensuring they provide clear and accurate guidance to all employees
* To lead HR projects and initiatives
* To understand the key drivers of employee engagement to create a healthy organisation
* To work with and support the Learning & Development Business Partner , identifying skills gaps within the operational teams by helping to develop Learning & Development department plans in line with budget
* To partner managers with identifying and developing talent and building succession plans within their teams
* To coach and support managers on general HR issues and policy queries in line with current UK and Irish Employment Law
* To deliver HR related training interventions such as workshops or lunch sessions
* To advise and coach on all Performance Management activity
* To assist and support the Head of HR with Reward and Recognition initiatives
* To coach and lead on all Resource Planning activity which is aligned to the business strategy
* Be accountable for their own personal development through the Performance and Development Review process seeking out opportunities to learn new skills
* Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work
