HR Business Partner / HR Manager

As HR Business Partner/Manager you will be working for an established business, over 150 employees and a multi-site organisation, based in Banbury. The purpose of the role is to manage the day to day operations of the HR function and to lead development and implementation of the people at the company. This role will be working closely with the Directors of the business, as well as the management team, therefore you must be comfortable in being commercially involved and proactive with business suggestion.

As HR Business Partner/Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned to the overall business strategy
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process
  • Supporting the senior team and managers through all areas of people management, to include:
    • Recruitment and selection
    • Employee induction
    • Employee Training & development
    • Implementation of HR policies and procedures
    • Grievance & disciplinary
    • Employee attendance
    • Employee communication
    • Employee engagement
  • Developing and monitoring overall HR strategies, systems and procedures
  • Managing and processing pay and benefits
  • Maintaining HR systems for employee personnel records and maintain a secure HR database
  • Maintaining the employee handbook
  • Developing and implementing employee training and development programs
  • Managing all aspects of employee communication and engagement, to include:
    • Company Notice Boards
    • Monthly Company Newsletter
  • Developing and implementing appropriate HR metrics and reports
  • Managing all aspects of Employee relations, to include external advice from 3rd party employment law specialists

You must be/have:

  • Experience of working as a HR Manager or HR Business Partner
  • Degree level, qualified CIPD or qualified by experience
  • Capable of building and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Experience of working within a multi-site company
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • PC literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel)
  • Organised, flexible and pro-active

What's in it for me? This is a permanent, full time position, Monday to Friday. The salary is up to £35,000 (DOE), plus car and bonus. You will be required to travel to other sites throughout Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the South Coast, therefore a driving licence is essential.
