Brewster Partners are working with an international company based in Sheffield, they manufacture and distribute instruments within a niche market across the world.
They require an HR Assistant for 18 months to help support the HR manager.
There will be a site relocation in April 2020, the new site is 20 minutes away, south of it current location.
To support a model of best practice, confidentiality and professionalism in meeting the HR needs of the business.
To provide support with the provision of appropriate HR policies and procedures for managers and employees in accordance with statutory requirements and best practice.
To respond to stakeholders as necessary on a range of HR and employment related matters.
Recruitment and Onboarding
Support the recruitment process including (where required) the publishing of adverts, the initial evaluation of application forms and/or CVs, ensuring shortlisting is undertaken, co-ordinating interview arrangements and requesting references.
Support the recruitment process by guiding managers during interviews for junior team members as and when required.
Produce offer letters, contracts, change of terms and conditions letters and Statements of Particulars for employees.
Ensure compliance with UK Visas and Immigration law during recruitment and subsequent monitoring.
Actively promote Equality and Diversity in all aspects of the role.
Ensure all pre-screening requirements including Disclosure & Barring Service checks are completed for employees in a timely manner.
Manage and record the set-up, issue, replacement and return of IT equipment i.e. mobile phones and laptops to staff.
Actively support the induction and onboarding of new starters.
Provide effective and efficient administration support including note taking at meetings.
Assist with employee relations processes where required.
Resolve queries and/or issues raised seeing them through to resolution (escalating where necessary), keeping the HR Manager informed where appropriate.
Keep up-to-date with employment legislation and best practice across the area of HR and support the HR Manager to implement changes where necessary.
Maintain and update the HR database, HR case records and Organisational Structure charts.
Ensure accurate personnel records are kept in accordance with Data Protection legislation (GDPR).
Accurately calculate pay, holidays and all other contractual entitlements.
Support the HR Manager in providing good quality training sessions and documentation for internal stakeholders.
Undertake regular HR audit checks to ensure the integrity of data is maintained in line with GDPR.
Raise IT tickets for access management.
Support the HR Manager with Health and Safety management where appropriate.

CIPD level 3 would be beneficial or working towards.
You must have a couple of years experience and be able to hit the ground running... this role is crucial to the business, this is in a fast paced environment
