Key responsibilities will include:
Providing a comprehensive HR Service and acting as the first line contact for all queries.
Constructively challenge managers to ensure that all people decisions are well planned, equitable, legal and support the business strategy.
Responsible for providing Employment Law related advice to managers and first line supervisors as well as generalist HR support within a busy environment.
Managing and advising on complex employee relations cases such as disciplinary and grievances including appeals and undertaking investigations where needed.
Providing first line professional, comprehensive and timely advice to leaders and staff on a range of general HR queries such as recruitment process, sickness absence management, terms and conditions of employment, performance management, and HR policies and procedures.
Work with the HR Manager and leaders across the organisation to actively support the annual talent review, generate succession opportunities and talent development.
Provide support with the annual renewals and competitiveness of benefits e.g. private healthcare, insurances, PHI, childcare vouchers etc.
Conduct Maternity meetings with pregnant employees ensuring risk assessments and health and safety requirements are met.
Undertake project work and other reasonable duties or activities as required (such as HR transformation projects, Gender Pay Gap, GDPR).
The successful candidate will ideally have:
CIPD qualified to Level 5 (or working toward).
Strong HR Advisor experience in a similar environment, you must have experience as a HR Generalist, ie managing absence, reducing absence, leading disciplinary and grievance meetings, up to date with employment law.
Excellent knowledge of UK Employment Law and best practice requirements.
Be results orientated with a sense of urgency.
