HR Advisor

Better Placed are pleased to be working with a well known and well established consumer business based in Manchester who are currently looking for a HR Advisor to join their sociable HR team. The role will primarily be responsible for coaching, advising and supporting employees and managers encouraging best practice across all areas of HR including: Performance management, absence management, grievances, retention, organisational change development and employment law.

Key responsibilities:

- Understand the needs of the business and actively provide commercially focused HR advice and support to line managers and directors
- Provide HR advice and guidance to all levels of management and staff
- Record and report on management information on an ad hoc basis
- Production of meaningful management information on a monthly basis to identify trends
- Build strong professional relationships with line managers and directors
- Monitor the HR info email inbox and ensure queries are dealt with in timely manner with in the team
- Assist with the delivery of HR - related workshops where needed
- Provide support on team changes and restructure as required
- Support reward and benefits activities such as annual salary review, bonus and commission management and salary bench marking as required

Knowledge / Qualifications:

- Employment law experience
- Experience of change management
- CIPD qualified (advantage)

The ideal candidate will need to have strong ER and employment law knowledge and take a highly consultative approach to the delivery of the HR service. You will need to be a self motivated individual who is able to work alone or as part of a team with the ability to organise and prioritise deadlines.
