*To develop, implement, monitor and review HR Policy and Procedures to ensure compliance with legislation, best practice and nationally determined agreements, and to ensure that policies meet the needs and objectives of the Service.
*To advise all managers and employees on HR policies.
*To advise managers on casework issues such as performance, attendance, discipline and grievance to ensure consistency across the Service.
*To provide generalise HR advice and support
Associate membership of CIPD or equivalent and able to demonstrate continued professional development
(or part qualified with significant work experience in the HR field).
In-depth HR experience, including policy formulation role and advisory role.
*Evidence of being able to manage self, set priorities and achieve realistic targets within tight deadlines.
*Evidence of excellent organisational skills and a logical approach.
*Evidence of excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
*Ability to train and give presentations to different audience levels.
*Evidence of effective negotiation and influencing skills.
*Effective written communication skills in order to transform complex information and legislation into Service policies and procedures.
*Evidence of advising about investigations
(e.g. disciplinary, grievance and bullying and harassment) including the production of written investigation reports)
*Sound knowledge of interview/ selection/assessment techniques and methods.
*Evidence of being capable of transforming ideas into action and outcomes, driving change to achieve outcomes.
Proven knowledge in the field of Employment Law, HR best practice and Employee Relations.
A proven understanding of industrial relations.
Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the development and application of Equality and Diversity principles and practices.
Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Health and Safety in the work place.
An understanding of and commitment to equality principles and practices
An understanding of and commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace
Flexible and capable of using own initiative as well as being a team player.
Ability to maintain professional confidentiality.
Driving licence with no pending issues.
