HR Advisor

A Technology Company in Farnborough is seeking a new HR Advisor. In this role you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, reliable and confidential operational HR service on a national scale. This is a full-time position, offering a salary of £40,000 plus eligibility for a 10% non-contractual bonus paid annually. Key duties and responsibilities include:
• Act as the Advisor for employee and manager HR queries, resolving issues or escalating to the HR Business Partner whilst ensuring the advice and support given is in compliance with employment law and HR best practice
• Drive the business forward through HR initiatives and changes which continually improve the organisation’s effectiveness
• Coach line managers on application and implementation of HR policies and procedures
• Manage recruitment in partnership with managers including liaising with external providers, screening CVs, providing support and advice during the interviewing process, and managing onboarding once an offer has been made
• Identify training and development requirements by conducting needs analysis and working with the HR team to develop and deliver local programmes
• Conduct exit interviews and provide regular reports on employee retention
• Manage individual employee relations issues including case management of absence, grievance and disciplinary, where appropriate (including complex cases)
• Collaborate and ensure that budgetary requirements are met and that budgets and forecasts for the division are kept up to date
• Assist with ad hoc HR projects and undertake additional duties as required

Essential requirements:
- You must be CIPD qualified
- Proven experience of working in an HR Generalist role, building credibility and positive working relationships with line managers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required with strong customer focus, including the ability to influence and negotiate
- Up-to-date knowledge of current employment legislation and its practical application
- Proven experience in manging employee relations issues
- Proven ability to implement and manage multiple projects
- Analytical thinking skills with ability to analyse statistical information
- Proficient on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Database and HR Software
- Must be willing to travel to various offices and depots throughout UK - must have blue collar experience
