Everyone says… how do I get started in HR?
How would it be if you could be mentored in an ever increasing range of people puzzles and projects, working with the widest variety of businesses? With an investment in off the job training & a Masters degree in Employment Law to boot. And add in an open progression route. It exists!
It is also a formula proven to work, its been developed and used at Tamar HR for 10 years now. Those who have started in this way now lead our work. You will have the opportunity to fast-track your progress as a specialist in people at work.
Working with multiple businesses from food processing to retail to professional services means covering the span of HR, we reckon at a pace that exceeds that which you would do in an in-house role.
Your passion will be in the 'why’ and 'how’ of crafting world class teams. What makes it happen? How does it work at the different transitions a business goes through? The why matters to us, for you to see others succeed is what inspires and you have the drive and the energy to unlock that in others.
You have a natural flair for understanding the emotional clues others give, for their body language and tone. Given a puzzle you have to complete it with the right pieces. Work that means being obsessed with the small details and the follow up, is naturally where you are at.
Your ability to stay calm and put the pieces together for others, structuring solutions and methodically making them happen means that you can become relied on as a partner in complicated and charged situations. Feet on the floor, the starting point will be learning and being the wing person for our People Coaches. You’ll do whatever it takes to be a consummate professional including the book-learning, the detail, the quick response and figuring out what clients need before they have.
Please inspire us with your cover letter and send us your CV in a way that communicates (as off or on the wall as you like) your individuality, your personal brand and credibility. This position is based in Plymouth.
