HR Administrator (Maternity Cover)
£19,715 + Benefits (FTC - up to 12 months)

Are you looking to progress your career within HR? This is a great opportunity to join our supportive and collaborative HR Shared Service Team as a maternity cover. We will support you with the development you are looking for as you provide HR support across two contrasting organisations English Heritage and Historic England. You will be joining a high achieving team with many exciting challenges ahead; as we continuously improve our approach to delivering a comprehensive HR shared service.
As a key member of the Historic England HR Shared Service Centre, you will find yourself on the phone to a diverse range of customers; from site managers at pre-historic sites, through to scientific researchers at a modern fort, through to accountants here in Swindon. Working as part of a team in our fast paced HR Shared Service Centre, where no day will be the same, with a range of coordination and administrative workflows that need to be managed to ensure that colleagues receive the right contract, get paid at the right time, and also get booked onto the training courses they need.
In our constantly evolving HR shared service you will also be involved in continuous improvement projects to enable our managers and colleagues to have the tools and support they need throughout the employment lifecycle.
As a naturally logical thinker you will pride yourself on your attention to detail and ability to manage various requirements and deadlines. With experience in a customer focussed co-ordination and administrative role you will have used multiple data systems from excel spreadsheets through to a Human Resources Information System or Content Management System. HR experience or qualifications would be a nice to have, but not essential, what is important is your desire to learn and having a diligent approach to your work.
