HR Administrator - Suffolk Constabulary

Reed Business Support are currently recruiting for a  3 month Temporary Transactional HR Administrator on behalf of the Suffolk Constabulary at Martlesham Heath HQ.

Full time Monday- Friday 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm
Pay rate: £9.09 per hours

Principal purpose of the role

To deliver an excellent transactional HR service and processing activity to the Constabularies; providing an administrative service to all employees, following clearly defined process, in line with established SLAs.

Essential Criteria

1. Proven and effective administrative skills. Understands the need for confidentiality
2. Able to use standard procedures and apply a pragmatic approach asking for advice when appropriate to solve problems
3. An understanding of how to handle, resolve and escalate enquiries and pass on information promptly
4. Excellent customer service skills
5. Good written and verbal communication skills
6. Confident in using ICT systems such as Word, Excel, Outlook (may be role specific systems)
7. Able to work on own initiative without constant supervision
8. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and professionally and remain calm and polite under pressure
9. Demonstrates attention to detail and works methodically, responding to changes to meet deadlines
10. Able to help others acquire skills and experience
11. Experience of working independently and as part of a team
12. Experience of using information to solve problems

Desirable criteria

1. Prior experience of working with people systems (such as SAP, T-Police)
2. Previous experience of working in a HR, payroll or shared service function
3. Knowledge of the broader activities of the Police Service
