HR Administrator/Helpdesk

Role Overview

The HR Helpdesk team is responsible for responding to a variety of simple and more complex employee queries and enquiries over the phone and also via e-mail. Team members are responsible for managing calls through to completion either by answering the query directly, liaising with various departments and also escalating more complex queries to other members of the HR team. The team are also responsible for a variety of HR administration duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming HR queries in an efficient and polite manner

  • Log queries, handle those within own remit according to a defined SLA or escalate as necessary those that require a response from a more experienced member of staff

  • Verify deadlines and deliverables with internal customers in order to schedule and prioritise workload and manage expectations

  • Maintain and update a range of records systems or databases to ensure records are accurate, complete and current

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • GCSE’s grade C and above or equivalent

  • This is an entry level HR role and as such the successful candidate will need to have a good level of numerical and written skills

  • The successful candidate should also be PC literate with experience of using Microsoft office applications

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, customer service or HR admin role is desirable, but not essential

  • A basic level of knowledge relating to HR issues would also be beneficial

  • Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
