Reed, Colchester are looking for an experienced HR Administrator to join a successful leading company locally on a permanent basis. As a HR Administrator you will be recruited to support the HR Administration Manager and HR director with their daily duties.

As an HR Administrator your duties will be to:
• Provide outstanding customer service at all levels to both internal and external customers, ensuring that the information processed and received is timely, accurate and relevant
• Use HR systems to ensure our customers have and comply with relevant legislation, knowledge and have the required information they need
• Produce and issue employment contracts and offer letters for new starters, and upload to HR system
• Maintain & monitor records of staff absence due to sickness, holidays, maternity etc. and administer any pay adjustments as required
• Administer amendments to staff records and produce contractual letters e.g. pay awards, transfers and promotions
• Monitor and administer maternity/ paternity requests
• Administer leavers and deal with any pertinent issues e.g. training debts, holiday entitlement
• Respond to reference requests
• Process probationary and career reports, inputting outcome onto the HR system
• Understand customer requirements by gaining deeper insight into their needs by questioning and exploring concerns
• Producing and reviewing monthly reports
• Consistently apply self-audit checks in relation to all activities undertaken
• Alert or feedback any service issues, inconsistencies or areas of concern to the HR Administration Manager
• Comply with organisational procedures and organisational requirements
• Comply with legislative requirements in respect of processing and retaining employee data
• Comply with legislative requirements in respect of the Employment Legislation Act
• Display a positive and excellent customer service ethos through times of change
• Recognise own accountability and authority level for handing enquiries
• Seek ways to improve and challenge current process and practice

Person Specification
• Previous HR Administration experience or qualified to CIPD level 3 certificate (HR Experience is imperative). (Minimum 6-12 month MIN)
• Excellent IT skills with the ability to enter detail accurately
• The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Evidences a desire to broaden HR & Company understanding
• Exceptional attention to detail, working accurately and at speed
• Is able to accept and act on constructive feedback
• Driven to deliver, can prioritise and deliver to others expectations and commitment
• A team player able to contribute, positively challenge and pass on information effectively
• Understands the importance of and maintains confidentiality at all times
• Excellent organisational skills
• Have a flexible approach to working outside of core hours when work demands this
Key Features:
• Full time – Permanent
• £16,000 - £20,000 salary per annum ( DOE)

• 5 minute walk to Colchester Town Centre
