My client, a leading organisation based in Dorchester is seeking an HR Administrator to support their busy HR function on a 6 month temporary basis.

Reporting into the HR Manager, duties will include:

Discipline and Grievance
In preparation for inspection:
Updating records including spreadsheets and timelines
Sorting historical files to ensure these are well organised and maintained
Ensuring adherence to retention schedules

Personal record Files
In preparation for inspection:
Undertaking an audit of personal record files to
1. Ensure that one exists for ALL staff
2. Ensure that all filing is up to date and filed in accordance with the retention schedule and file structure
3. Check the file structure for existing files to ensure that this is consistent

Job Evaluation
Sort and scan all JE outcomes and associated paperwork since April 16
Cross reference against scoring spreadsheet to confirm up to date scores
Update master score sheet and publish on Connect

Secondary Employment
In preparation for inspection
Updating the Secondary Employment register to ensure that this is up to date
Working with BP’s to ensure that staff have current permissions
Issue letters to confirm agreement / rejection of secondary employment to individuals
Implement a 2 yearly review programme, including push notifications from HRMIS
Update HRMIS with permissions and ensure copies of requests and confirmation letters are filed to Personal Record Files

Retention
Support the review of files in line with the Services retention process

Contracts of employment
Support the review of current contracts and where applicable, the reissue of these

Project work
Support the department with any other project work and provide resilience to the team

The ideal candidate will have experience of the above tasks, ideally within an HR role and be studying towards Level 3 CIPD. He/She MUST be available to start on 1st October.
