Pioneer Selection are currently working with one of the biggest names in Motorsport. This Formula 1 team are currently looking to bolster their IT Support department by bringing in an HPC Support Analyst. This team are respected by industry professionals and by fans alike, constantly producing a car that out performs the teams around them.

The team have recently gone through a resurgence and are looking forward towards the front of the grid. Their ambitions are to push their competitors to the limit and race for podiums and race wins in the future.

This role is available as a full time, permanent position and will offer a very competitive salary alongside a very good benefits package. This is a very rare opportunity to join a successful and expanding Formula 1 team.

Day to Day responsibilities:

This role will allow an experienced HPC Support Analyst to join a team responsible for providing HPC support for a highly successful Formula 1 team, working within the teams diverse and multi-functional IT Team.

Within the HPC Support team the HPC Support Analyst will be responsible for support and project delivery for the Formula 1 teams' various high-performance analysis and simulations functions. In order to do this, you will have to utilise your previous experience in HPC environments including knowledge of relevant operating systems such as CentOS etc.

The HPC Support Analyst will also work with cluster management and scheduling systems and will work on server performance tuning and monitoring tools.

This HPC Support Analyst role is an internal customer facing position because of this strong communication skills are required.

What you will need:

  • Previous experience of working in a HPC Support role.
  • Demonstrable ability and a history of working on relevant operating systems (CentOS etc.)
  • Previous experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools (Nagios/Ganglia etc.)
  • Knowledge of Cluster Management and Scheduling systems.
  • Scripting tools experience (Bash etc.)
  • Experience of Storage technologies and file systems (GPFS etc.)
  • Previous use of IB & TCP/IP network protocols and operating system configuration (Mellanox etc.)
