Are you passionate about supporting people who are homeless, vulnerable or disadvantaged?
We are recruiting for Housing Support Workers for our clients in the Sunderland / Tyne and Wear areas.
You will have a vital role to play in helping our clients achieve their mission of offering homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfil their potential and move towards an independent and positive future.
As well as ensuring a safe and welcoming place you may also be tasked with helping the residents to become more independent which could involve helping them with relationship issues, life skills or other practical aspects of running a home. This role is perfect for individuals who wish to build on their experience of working with vulnerable people in a supportive setting.
This role may suit a candidate who is looking for a 2nd source of income, or to work around studies as we cannot guarantee the hours. The work will be on an ad-hoc basis and with day and night shifts to cover flexibility is paramount.
Previous experience working with vulnerable young people would be advantageous.
An enhanced DBS check and references covering the previous 5 years will be required for this role.
