Housing Support Worker
Our clienthas an exciting opportunity for a Housing Support Worker to join the team based in Harlow. You will join their team on a full time, permanent basis and you will be offered a competitive salary of £18,250 per annum - £9.36 per hour.

They are committed to putting the most vulnerable first and treating very person as in individual so that they can live more independently, with more dignity, choice and control.
The Housing Support Worker role:
The scheme accommodates eight vulnerable young people. Staff will provide housing related support, this incudes independent living skills. Assistance with accessing employment, education or training and support in other areas. The scheme operates a 24 hour day, with staff working a rolling rota which will include sleep ins. The successful candidates will need to be flexible in their approach.
Responsibilities of their Housing Support Worker:
- Support tenants who are living in supported accommodation
- Provide practical and emotional support assisting tenants to aim at achieving independence through housing related supported
- Support tenants in understanding and sustaining their tenancy
- Provide sleep in cover as required
What they’re looking for in their Housing Support Worker:
Demonstrating an understanding of the issues faced by young people. You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). In addition knowledge of welfare benefits, young people leaving care, would be an advantage.
They give full paid training and DBS application.
