Housing Support Worker

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Housing Support Worker to join their team based in Chelmsford.  You will be there on a full time, permanent basis and you will be offered a competitive salary of £18,250 per annum - £9.36 per hour.

The Housing Support Workerrole;

You will work in their Chelmsford direct access hostel for single homeless people.

The hostel is a 22 bed supported housing scheme, comprising of 11 shared self-contained flats. You will be supporting single homeless people of varying ages during a period of assessment by the local authority with regards to their housing applications. You will manage a caseload supporting them with managing their income and living on a budget, managing their physical and mental health issues, welfare benefit applications and maximising their income, you will also offer move on support to assist in finding suitable accommodation.

The Service operates Monday-Sunday including bank holidays.

Good communication skills are vital for their Housing Support Worker, as is the ability to keep accurate records, work as part of a team and manage a caseload.
