Housing Officer

Golden Lane Housing (GLH) has been increasing housing opportunities for people with a learning disability and making a difference in this sector. We are looking for a talented Housing Officer to join our Housing team. The ideal applicants will have an enthusiastic attitude and a can do approach. The successful candidates will share the same vision, values and aspirations of GLH.

You will be responsible for ensuring that housing management services are delivered to GLH requirements. You will deliver a high performance culture, focused on service delivery and the achievement of targets, to provide a high quality service to tenants ensuring their well-being.

The Housing Officer role is key to the operational delivery and management of financial controls. We want you to raise the quality standards so that our tenants achieve the best possible outcomes. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining successful links with all stakeholders relating to the delivery of new services through development and service to tenants. You will also support the regional team deliver an effective property service to all our tenants in liaison with the Property Surveyor and Property Officer.

The post will involve extensive daily travel. The patch extends throughout Wiltshire in the south, Staffordshire in the north, South Wales in the West and Warwickshire and Oxfordshire to the East.

You will be home based and will be required to live within the patch. The ideal location would be Gloucestershire but applications from candidates living in all other areas e.g. Bristol or Birmingham areas would be welcome.

The role involves some overnight stays and travel to meetings and training in Manchester and London and other locations in the UK. Some flexibility around working hours is required and enhanced DBS check will be undertaken.
