We are currently recruiting for Housing Client Service Officer to work at The London Borough of Hounslow within the Regeneration, Economic Development and Environment team.

The Role
As the Housing Client Service Officer at Hounslow Council You will play an important role of To provide an efficient, customer-centred advice and assistance service for Hounslow Housing clients. Enabling service users to make informed choices about housing options available to meet and resolve their housing needs whilst preventing homelessness.

Location:Hounslow Council

Hours:36 hours Mon to Fri (08:45: AM - 05:00:PM

Duration: 3 Months

Rate of Pay: £15.84

Who are we looking for?
As the Housing Client Service Officer for the Housing Options team at The London Borough of Hounslow we are looking for someone who has:

*Significant experience and knowledge of the following housing case law, homelessness and private sector tenancy legislation and good practice:
* The Housing Act 1996 as amended by the Homeless Act 2002.
* Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Legislation, (for example the Housing Act 1985 and the Protection from Eviction Act 1977)
* The Localism Act
* Welfare Reform Act and DWP guidance on personal and housing benefits.
* Hounslow's Allocations Policy
*Excellent knowledge and application of:
* Provision of Rent Act 1977
* Protection from Eviction Act 1977
* Landlord & Tenants Acts 1985 & 1987
* Environmental Protection Act 1990

* Experience of working in a customer- orientated environment.
*Experience of working in a housing-related sector and working with customers in housing need.
* Experience of working within a pressurised environment requiring a high standard of service delivery within tight timescales.
* Demonstrable experience and skills in building positive and productive relationships with colleagues, partners and customers.
*Understanding the impact of national and local policies on the housing service, local government processes, drivers and structures.
