Housing and Wellbeing Officer 

Salary: From £20,024 per annum 
Job Type: Full Time, 12 months Fixed Term Contract 
Hours: 36.25 hours per week 
Location: Bolton / Oldham / Bury / Rochdale

About the role: 

Reporting to the Housing and Wellbeing Manager, the Housing and Wellbeing Officer is responsible for working with customers to promote and maximise their independence, assisting them to move on to greater self-reliance within a customer focused environment and in line with the Independence and Wellbeing framework.

You will work flexibly as part of a dedicated staff team to deliver high quality services in line with the Independence and Wellbeing framework and principles. To ensure customers receive high quality and responsive tenancy management services in a safe and secure environment and that they are able to sustain their accommodation, live independently and to build on their strengths. 

About You: 

To be successful in this position you must be qualified to minimum level 2 in English and Maths and have well-developed IT and keyboard skills. A customer focused individual, you must have experience of delivering a high standard of customer service, preferably in a housing management environment. You will need to have experience of administration and recording procedures, with an in depth understanding of confidentiality, as well as experience and understanding of safeguarding. 

You must hold a relevant professional qualification (such as Institute of Customer Service qualification) or be willing to study towards this. Experience of using a strength based approach to assist customers to achieve their goals is desirable. 

You may have experience of the following: Social Housing, Community Development, Vulnerable People, Supported Housing, Service Delivery, Housing Management, Supported Living, Sheltered Housing, Support Manager, Housing Assistant etc.

GM Homes Partnership 

The GM Homes Partnership is a newly established 3-year DCLG funded social impact bond project to support entrenched rough sleepers. The GM Homes partnership consists of public, private and housing partners working together to deliver support and homes to those most in need across Greater Manchester. 

They are looking for people to come and help them realise their vision of supporting 200 rough sleepers to start a new life in the right kind of home with the right support, involving them at every step of the way. 

The GM Homes partnership provides an opportunity to try out new and different approaches to tackling long term homelessness, which they can use to inform how they deliver services in the future with and for their most vulnerable residents. 

Our client is a key delivery partner in the GM Homes Partnership and will be providing the service using a key worker model in Oldham; Bolton; Bury and Rochdale.
