We have a new, unique and exciting opportunity for a Housing Advice Coordinator to join our organisation.

Responsible for the day-to-day line management of a team of Assessment and Support Officers, you will monitor the performance of the team against our KPI’s, ensuring the effective operation of our choice based letting system. You will provide support and assistance to our Housing Advisors to enable them to carry out their responsibilities to customers. In addition, you will also play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of a range of administrative support tasks, ensuring that our services to customers and strategic partners are managed efficiently and effectively.

This is an exciting and varied role where you will undertake a range of different duties, including: management and supervision of the Assessment and Support officers, responding to formal referrals from partner organisations, completing desktop eligibility assessments as required and coordinating systematic choice based lettings banding reviews. In addition to some team specific tasks, you will also support the service by scheduling and servicing of internal and external meetings, panels and case conferences.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to form positive working relationships with internal and external partners, colleagues and our customers. You will join us with administration experience from an office based role and an extensive knowledge of a variety of contemporary IT packages. You will have the flexibility to build a high level of expertise in new systems and to train and coach colleagues within the team to maximise the benefit they can obtain from the systems. A basic awareness of the purpose and application of lettings policies and statutory duties and line management experience would be a distinct advantage.
