Household / HNW Account Handler

Purpose of Job Role
Arrange insurance coverage on behalf of clients/ Agents in accordance with their specific needs and requirements

Underwriting negotiation, client/general account management and day to day office duties as required

Primary objectives:
·Provide a high quality service to direct HWW clients, dealing with the requirements of approved agents/producers, ensuring that the needs and expectations of clients are met with the aim of retaining the account and growing the business on a profitable basis with a biased towards personal lines insurance.
·Prepare market presentations as appropriate.
·Service/develop the book of business and conduct out of office client visits as required
·Provide documentary evidence of all insurance cover in an agreed format
·Liaise with both Underwriters and clients alike
·Assist with training of new/existing employees as necessary

Key Duties:
·Deal with enquiries promptly whilst referring any enquiry that falls outside your scope of technical expertise to a more appropriate person
·Ensure that written confirmation of agreed coverage is sent to relevant parties and maintain a client file, either electronically or paper file in chronological order
·Initiate renewal process for all policies of those clients for whom you have been allocated specific responsibility, ensuring as far as possible that renewal terms are received in a timely manner from existing insurers and obtaining alternative quotations elsewhere as appropriate, always ensuring that coverage is maintained as necessary and if required by the client
·Produce renewal invitations/reports to those clients for whom you have been allocated specific responsibility, in the manner appropriate to their size and complexity
·Ensure that policies and other documentation is received from insurers in a timely period and check the adequacy of such documentation prior to sending out to your client

Key Experience:
·Household / HNW Experience
·Good organisational skills
·Good interpersonal and communication skills
·Attention to detail
