Hotel Reception Manager

My Client, an independently owned hotel on the Worcestershire/West Midlands border is looking to recruit a Reception Manager on a Permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a small reception team with the added responsibility of some ad-hoc Duty Manager responsibilities as and when required.

This is a very busy hotel which mostly caters for business people during the week and a thriving wedding venue at weekends. Due to its continued success they are looking for a confident, positive and proactive Reception Manager to join the team where you will deliver excellent customer service, focusing on the guest experience and related administration.

Your main duties will include:

- Overall responsibility and accountability for the reception team
- Cash handling, banking, AR Accounting, safes and floats
- Training the team to ensure hotel and company standards are met
- Manage reservations for the acceptance of all bookings
- Implementation and review of administrative control systems
- Duty Management shifts

As a suitable candidate you will have the following

- Experience with Opera PMS
- Excellent communication skills, written, face to face and telephone
- Time management
- Excellent attention to detail
