Privately owned property management company with a unique portfolio of freehold office, residential, hotel, retail and leisure properties based in Canary Wharf is seeking a confident, pro-active Procurement Assistant.
The role will be to support procurement and project managers within the hotel management team in the planning and execution of effective procurement exercises. It will also entail contract monitoring, management of activities across a range of goods and services that secures the best value and delivers high quality services throughout the company.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a high level of self-motivation, confident telephone manner and excellent organisational skills that will assist when managing multiple activities within demanding timescales. Matched also with:
Prior experience of supply chain and procurement working within the industry (preferably from hospitality/property asset remit).
Excellent working knowledge of MS packages.
Strong knowledge and understanding of effective procurement procedures within the hospitality, property investment industry.
Able to build solid working relationships within a team, front line customers as well as with external partners and suppliers.
Ability to demonstrate commercial and financial acumen, able to articulate the benefits of defined procurement processes.
Due to the nature of the role and the business, a level of flexibility will be required from the post holder as there will be travelling required.
