Home Trainer

About Us:

At the RMBI, we care for older Freemasons and their families as well as some people in the community. Caring has been our way of life since 1842 and we provide a home for over 1,000 people across England and Wales - while supporting many more. Whether people need residential or nursing care, specialist dementia support or day services, we care for them professionally and kindly.

About You:

As a Trainer, you will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating the training for staff who work throughout your care home, all of which is specifically tailored to our organisation. You will be required to provide a person centred, professional and flexible approach to learning and development activities in order to earn a positive reputation for enabling people to achieve their full potential.

You will be tasked with identifying and responding to specific learning interventions, both bespoke around the need of individuals and general in terms of company-wide needs. This will include all statutory and legislative types of training.

To be considered for the role of Trainer, you should have broad experience gained within the social care sector including dementia, demonstrable supervisory experience and the ability to deliver and evaluate training and an understanding of the requirements of CQC (Care Quality Commission) and/or CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales)

Additionally, you must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with a high level of IT literacy.

A training or teaching qualification and/or a relevant professional qualification such as Train the Trainer would also be beneficial.

You will work from your own care home; however will be expected to travel (with the occasional overnight stay) within the portfolio of RMBI Homes and must be willing and able to travel to other locations as and when required including the London offices.

An enhanced criminal records disclosure is required for this position.

  • GCSE level education or equivalent
  • Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Health and Social Care
