Oil Recruitment is a privately owned business, based in the northwest of England in Knutsford, Cheshire with an excellent reputation for recruiting candidates into some of the world’s leading oil and energy companies. We have a solid track record of hiring mid to senior level professionals across a number of sectors (Shipping and Operations, Middle, back office and Finance, Trading and Origination, Fuel Sales, Supply and Storage, Lubricants and Speciality Chemicals, Gas Power and LNG). Our clients include trading houses, banks, oil and chemical companies, utilities, shipping companies and consultancies.

Due to expansion, we are looking to hire home-based recruitment consultants with drive and motivation who want to work between 20 hours to 40 hours a week to secure and/or fill our client roles.

The role would suit an experienced recruitment professional with a track record in mid to senior level appointments who wants to work either full time or part-time on a small number of recruitment assignments from home. We are offering 100% flexible working, remote access and home working, allowing a flexible approach to work.

You can be based anywhere in the UK, but will need to be prepared to travel at our Knutsford base on a regular basis for a team meetings, plus any client visits.

We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, who are able to manage their own day effectively. You will need to be able to build rapport and credibility at a senior level, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior level clients and candidates alike.

You will be joining an established team that is respected in the sectors it works in for its excellent market knowledge and the care it takes to help its clients and candidates fulfill their potential. You will be responsible for placing candidates into roles with the following key responsibilities:

  • Developing relationships with a broad base of industry participants within a market niche.

  • Developing a deep knowledge of the market and the roles within it.

  • Identifying openings and securing instructions to assist clients in filling those roles

  • Identifying and selecting candidates for roles and managing them through the process from initial interview to offer negotiation.

  • Proactively developing our business by pursuing business development activities aimed at building relationships with clients

The role requires a very high level of drive, initiative and pro-activity with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people quickly. You’ll thrive on working under pressure and will be competent in prioritising your work load to get the job done.

Our business is all about building relationships and networking, so a warm and engaging telephone manner is essential. You’ll need excellent communication skills and will demonstrate confidence, patience and tenacity. Prepared to build up an extensive network of contacts, you’ll be keen to pro-actively make client contact.
