In your new job, you will be working for one of the leading retail insurance in the UK market. They specialise in both domestic and commercial insurance, offering a wide range of policies to their customers.
Your new role
In your new job, you will be responsible for providing a customer friendly, cost effective service by managing claims from instruction to completion. Your job will involve both field and desk assessments of both home and commercial property claims, keeping customers updated at all times and making sure the customer is up to date on who is handling the claim. You will be responsible for quantifying and validating all types of property claims in line with property cover, including providing reports and estimations for insurance related repairs and other losses. You will be home based, travelling out to customers sites when needed.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold an insurance qualification such as CII, CILA/RICS, and have a good knowledge of the insurance industry, in particular the home and commercial property market. You will also have a sound knowledge of property construction, gained by working on occupied property and premises, with experience of building pathology, schedules of rates and estimating. The ability to build rapport and communicate clearly with customers is again a desired trait for this position.
