History Teacher

I am looking for a Teacher of History to join my client school in York from Easter 2018 on a full time basis to cover for a maternity absence. The school is looking at appointing somebody on a permanent basis from September 2018, therefore there is opportunity for a permanent role opening for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant degree and teaching qualification
  • Effective behaviour management strategies
  • Consistent career history
  • Proof of "Good" or "Outstanding" teaching practice
  • Experience to work in a secondary setting in the UK

The salary will be reflective of your current pay-scale, with opportunities to earn up to £160/£170 per day.

If you are a secondary school teacher with a specialism in History and can deliver the subject to GCSE, please do not hesitate to apply.

My client school is a mixed 11-16 school serving a genuinely comprehensive intake, they take pride in their commitment to making a difference to the life chances of all of their students. Last year, the school was placed in special measures predominantly due to the quality of teaching. Every new appointments will have a fundamental role as they start the journey back to 'Good' in 2020.
