The Department of Musculoskeletal Histopathology is a busy, specialised orthopaedic bone and soft tissue laboratory based at RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry, Shropshire and is looking to recruit to this permanent, full time position in a secretarial and administration role.

Who we’re looking for

The successful applicant will demonstrate a positive can do attitude whilst working alongside the existing secretary, Biomedical Scientists and Histopathologists in the day to day activities of a modern histopathology laboratory.  The laboratory is currently working towards ISO 15189:2012 Medical Laboratory Standards and partakes in NEQAS Schemes.

We can offer a varied working day where you will be working as part of the Histopathology Team in the production of high quality and timely results and reports and well as meeting the ISO15189:2012 standards.

Experience of medical terminology, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Laboratory LIMS , as well as an understanding of what type of work is required in a Histopathology Laboratory is essential.

Work hours are 9.00 to 17.00hrs Monday to Friday.
