Hire Desk Controller

£17,000 - £19,000 per annum (DOE)

+ Bonus c£1K per annum (paid quarterly)

c1 year fixed term contract with strong possibility of permanency / permanent role if someone internal takes the sales role they are reruiting for.

Purpose of the Role:

Managing the administration process of Unit Hire by liaising with customers and the branch network via telephone and e-mail communication; providing prompt action and response to enquiries. This role would be suited to someone that enjoys managing their own workload and thrives in a busy and challenging working environment without compromising customer service or accuracy of data input.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing the administration process of unit/vehicle hire
  • Dealing with calls and emails from existing customers wishing to hire or extend hire
  • Inputting of unit and customer information into the hire software
  • Working closely with other members of staff
  • Scanning, filing and recording of data
  • Generating hire agreements
  • Processing invoices for service
  • Organising the delivery of the welfare units
  • Providing supporting documentation to customers such as 'Proof of Delivery’

Requirements to fulfil the role:

  • Strong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel). Training will be given on the 'Hire Software System’
  • Good communication, both written and verbal
  • Customer service and administration experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Have particular attention to detail
  • Be a team player with an efficient and proactive approach to work
  • Be of a friendly and personable disposition

Additional Information:

  • Hours: Mon-Fri 8.00am to 5.00pm - There can be slight flexibility on start time to suit individual needs - 1 hour lunch
  • Holiday: 20 days per annum
