Band 7 Highly Specialist Paediatric Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist, CDC Lead Therapist

(22.5 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and suitably qualified SLT to work at Northampton General Hospital and in the community in Northamptonshire.

The post holder will oversee and be a part of the Speech and Language Therapy input into the multi-disciplinary assessments at the Child Development Centre.

The post holder will hold a caseload and will also provide feeding/swallowing and communication assessment and support, and contribute to the multi –disciplinary management for both babies and children accessing the inpatient wards at NGH and support their transfer into the community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge in the assessment and support of preschool children with special educational needs and disability.

This is an opportunity to further develop clinical skills in the context of delivering an outcome focussed and person centred service.
