Full time / Part-time post (up to 37.5 hrs per week)
Do you want to be part of a small, thriving team to further advance your career and skill set? Join our dynamic service that is transforming healthcare.
Our commitment to our staff has been recognised in the 2019 National Staff Survey with one of the highest staff engagement rates and the lowest sickness of any community provider in England. We have also been celebrated for our commitment to our staff learning and development.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible band 8a clinical / counselling / health psychologist to join our dynamic persistent pain management team.
This is an exciting and challenging role to work as part of a supportive, small but progressive team that is focused on delivering high-standard, person-centred, evidence-based practice.
Our community-based pain management service has been running for over six years and is highly valued by commissioners and service users alike. The service is currently reviewing its service delivery to tailor its offer to meet the above aspirations, whilst also moving forward in line with the evolving local health care priorities.
We are looking to recruit a highly-motivated, team-focused applied psychologist with the knowledge and extensive experience of working with persistent pain who will help move the service forwards with its development.
This post would be suitable for a senior psychologist who is able to work independently as well as alongside other members of the pain management team and who is able to provide individual as well as group interventions for patients with complex long-term conditions.
The successful candidate for his permanent post needs to be self-motivated, forward thinking and have the willingness and skills to work in a culturally diverse borough.
During COVID 19 pandemic the service has undergone rapid change as to how appointments are delivered. Currently some appointments are being delivered virtually and there is an anticipation this will continue at present.
