We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead the newly integrated Community Learning Disabilities Psychology Team in the London borough of Harrow.
This clinician will provide a psychological service to people with learning disability, lead on the development of the psychology service and collaborate on the wider service initiatives in conjunction with the Team Manager and Head of Psychology. The team is based in the Harrow Civic Centre as part of the integrated structure.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist who can demonstrate a desire to 'make the difference' for those with a learning disability, with behaviour that challenges, and/or episodes of mental illness. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The post holder will have significant post-qualification clinical experience and desirably in the field of learning disability. You will be required to provide psychological assessment, formulation plans and therapy to adults with learning disabilities, and will also offer advice and consultation to non-psychologist colleagues and to non-professional carers.
This post is full time 37.5 hrs per week and flexible working will be considered.
