To support the ongoing research, development and evaluation of HEPMA.
The post holder is responsible for supporting the delivery of roll out and subsequent maintenance of HEPMA across NHS Lanarkshire hospitals including:
The development and implementation of standard operating procedures for new ways of working to ensure efficient safe practice, patient safety and improvements in the patient journey.
Undertaking research and complex audits to evaluate the implementation and the benefits realisation on an ongoing basis.
Deputising for Team Leader as required to liaise with the supplier and the national Prescribing User Group, Participation in the electronic prescribing on call rota.
To support HEPMA systems to develop practice
To lead by example as a role model practitioner. To support the evaluation of the contribution of electronic prescribing to patient care. To support the electronic prescribing team in the challenging task of initiating a new service and improving this in the light of structured monitoring and feedback
Develop, deliver and evaluate clinical pharmacy services to a specified patient population or directorate/clinical specialty in accordance with the objectives set between the onsite Hospital Pharmacy Manager and the Principal Clinical /Deputy Pharmacy Manager.
To act as a role model and provide a consistently high quality pharmaceutical service.
The post holder should have a Masters degree in Pharmacy, and be registered to practice with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Continuing Professional Development as detailed by the General Pharmaceutical Council (mandatory requirement) and a minimum of 6 years hospital pharmacy experience with 4 years working within a clinical or technical speciality.
