A well-known and well-resourced Birmingham SEND school which has an excellent reputation for inclusion and progress regardless of student starting points, is seeking an Higher Level Teaching Assistant with experience of working with SEN. This placement will initially be for the academic year with the view to appointing the candidate on a permanent basis after a successful trial period.
The long term view for this role will involve the successful applicant taking on a leadership role for support staff within the school.
This school requires committed and passionate staff. You will require a background of working with students with multiple learning difficulties including ASD, ADHD and EBD. All teachers and support staff at this school adopt a patient and nurturing approach to the challenges students present on a daily basis. A strong " team player" attitude is essential as well as a sense of humour.
