Higher Education- Students Records Administrator

Our client, a well known and successful organisation within higher education are looking to recruit a Student Records Assistant Administrator.

Candidates must have experience working in higher education or further education.

This role is a 6 month contract, paying £14.88 per hour and is based in South Kensington.

The purpose of this position is to take responsibility for a variety of activities to support organisations and professionals. The role includes assisting the Student Records & Data team in dealing with enquiries from students, with the maintenance of student records for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Key Responsibilities:

- Update and maintain the student record system in relation to student data, for example, registration data, course transfers, interruptions of studies, placement details.
- Producing letters associated with changes to the record and, on request from students, documents confirming attendance at the College and full transcripts of courses taken and marks gained.
- Answering telephone, written and electronic enquiries.
- Producing Council Tax Certificates, Statements of Attendance, and Tier 2 visa letters.
- Maintain and update external databases.

Skills Required:

- Project management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including use of databases, Microsoft Office and online tools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Proven ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Ability to cope with periods of high workload.
