Working within Care & Support department and heading Origin's Home Improvement Team, this is an exciting and rewarding position. Managing a team of five Handypeople, a Senior Handyperson, a Surveyor, an Advisor and Adaptations Coordinator, the team provides disabled adaptation works and small repairs to older and disabled residents. The team provides high levels of customer service to Origin and Camden Council residents, with very high levels of customer satisfaction. The post holder reports directly to the Assistant Director of Care & Support and Community Development, and attends departmental management team meetings.
We are looking for someone with knowledge of disabled adaptations works or Handyperson service, and knowledge of issues affecting older people. The candidate needs to have some staff management experience. We are looking for a dynamic individual with the ability to engage with communities, stakeholders and colleagues. We are looking for a person who is outcome focused and with a can-do attitude. The candidate needs to demonstrate effective communication and joint working with residents, stakeholders and voluntary agencies. This role is also subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
